Nestled in the Bohemian Hills, St. Wenceslas Vineyard is one of the oldest vineyards in the Czech Republic. The vineyard was first planted in 1347 by Charles IV, and it’s been producing grapes ever since. The vineyard was founded by Czech King Wenceslas II, who was also a Duke of Luxembourg, and is situated on south-facing slopes at an altitude of 1,800 feet above sea level. The climate is perfect for growing grapes, and the vineyard benefits from long sunny days and cool nights.

A variety of wines are produced there, including red, white, and rosé. The most famous wine produced at St. Wenceslas Vineyard is the “St. Wenceslas Cuvee,” a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Pinot Noir grapes. This particular wine has won numerous awards and has been praised by critics all over the world.

The most popular wines here are the Muscat Ottonel, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, and Chardonnay. The sparkling wine is also very popular and is made using the traditional method of secondary fermentation in the bottle. The vineyard offers tours of its facilities, during which you’ll learn all about the history of the site and the wine-making process.
